Overview of the District Plan Process
In addition to complying with appropriate federal and state laws, California Labor Code, California Education Code, and CaliforniaCode of Regulations, Title V, Work Experience Education, school districts who offer Work Experience Education programs must agree to a series of assurances. The district plan that is developed must be approved and adopted by the local governing board (EC §51762 & CCR, Title V § 10070).
